This event includes lunch allowing 
delegates and speakers to make new contacts and continue 
discussing the issues outlined in a comfortable and informal setting 

There is also an exhibition and display of specialist equipment 
  
The Disability Discrimination Act has been described as the biggest social revolution of the last century and will affect all our lives in one way or another.  The final part of the Act comes into force in 2004.  Will you be ready?  This conference will give you a greater awareness of the Act, what it means for you and an appreciation of the scale of the works requi#840052 - can you afford it miss it?

Are you confident that you can say "YES" to the following questions.

  • Could a customer using a wheelchair get around your building?
  • Are you entirely sure that your building is accessible under the terms of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)?
  • Are you sure that the design of buildings takes full account of the needs of blind and visually impaired people?
  • Do you feel confident that you understand the implications of the DDA in relation to a wide range of disabilities?
  • Are you confident you are fully aware of the DDA when discussing a client's brief?
  • Can you provide an equal service to all your customers?
  • Could you communicate with a deaf or hearing impaired customer?
  • If you are planning or constructing a new building, are you sure that it will be accessible to all disabled people?
  • If your answer to any of these is NO this conference can help you find out what you need to do to prepare.
