Programme
Having first found favour in local authorities, On-the-Spot management is now being adopted by many RSLs, particularly those growing through merger or large-scale stock transfer. Time-limited and intensive, it is geared to have immediate impact on the most disadvantaged areas, especially when delivered through partnership working. But questions remain about the best way to implement this new style of management. Many landlords have established neighbourhood offices, but these tend to offer niche provision rather than a one stop shop; given the growing complexity of housing organisations and the demands of the regeneration agenda, a more sophisticated and holistic approach may well be necessary. For those under pressure to deliver more efficient and effective services, this seminar offers an opportunity to find out more about On-the-Spot housing management, its costs and benefits, and good practice guidance emerging from the latest research. |
