convention -   developing potential
young people and regeneration

Convention:     Developing Potential is a national event designed to bring together people involved in projects and partnerships whose main concern is with involving, supporting and empowering young people and giving them a voice in the regeneration process. It aims to celebrate the imagination, creativity and energy of young people and the contribution they are making to vibrant, forward looking communities.

Programme:     The programme is structured to concentrate on four major themes; early intervention and support, community safety, training and employment, capacity building and empowerment. Key speakers will address these themes and forty informal and interactive workshops, facilitated by young people and those working with them, will allow them to be examined in detail. The convention is residential to allow maximum opportunity for networking and discussion.
