Fees:
The joint organisers of this convention – ROOMatRTPI, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit, Communities Scotland, Communities First, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and the National Network of Regeneration Partnerships - are keen that the event should be open to as many of those involved in regeneration as possible.
For this reason, the fee for the convention has been set as low as possible with a full delegate rate of only £350 (+VAT).
The 2004 event is residential - both to enable even more discussion amongst delegates and to provide even better value for money.
This fee therefore includes full accommodation, all meals, teas and coffees, an evening reception and social events plus full documentation.
A day delegate rate of £145 (+VAT) per day is available to include lunch, teas and coffees and full documentation.
Early booking is advised for this increasingly popular event - see booking form
Bursaries:
The fifth National Regeneration Convention is the national event aimed particularly at local regeneration partnerships.
The organisers, ROOMatRTPI supported by the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit, Communities Scotland, Communities First, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and the National Network of Regeneration Partnerships, are very keen to maximise the participation of partnerships in this convention.
In particular the organisers do not want the cost of the event to act as a barrier to the involvement of local regeneration partnership board members who are on Boards as representatives of the local community, of community groups or of voluntary and charitable organisations.
For this reason, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit, Communities Scotland and Communities First have made available a number of bursaries to enable such individuals to attend the conference free of any delegate fee or accommodation costs.
Delegates will still have to pay any costs of travel.
Regeneration board members who are on Boards as representatives of the local community, of community groups or of voluntary and charitable organisations will receive first priority in the allocation of bursaries.
If, however, there are too few requests for bursaries from this source, then bursaries will be allocated to representatives of smaller community-based organisations and charities.
Applicants for bursaries should fill in the Bursary form which should be signed by the Chief Executive (applicant) of the local regeneration partnership or the community based organisation who should confirm that the places applied for could not be funded from other sources.
