A Manifesto for Planning

The Purpose of this Manifesto

This Manifesto for Planning sets out the reforms that the RTPI has already undertaken, puts forward a number of key issues on which the RTPI is campaigning and addresses the role of professionals in the new planning.

As this Manifesto is being drafted, two key inquiries are due to report – Sir John Egan’s review of skills and Kate Barker’s review of housing supply.  This Manifesto charts a positive way forward for planning at a time when its future roles and capabilities are under examination.
