axis is a serious, campaigning journal covering key issues analytically and in depth. axis sets out to bridge the gap between practitioners and academics by reporting research findings in an accessible way. Each issue contains features with in depth coverage of topical issues by leading professionals and academics, and regular contributions by, or interviews with, senior politicians and chief executives. The 'inside story' is an impartially edited feature commissioned by an outside organisation. There are reports of new developments, projects and events, innovations and good practice, together with informed opinion and incisive comment from both regular and occasional columnists. Topical cover of regional issues includes regular contributions from Wales and Northern Ireland. Analytical reviews of new books and other publications are required reading for anyone concerned with housing, planning and regeneration. If you would like to write for axis or discuss an article, contact the editor Chris Griffin

publisher .
|
axis is published six times a year by ROOM, the National Council for Housing and Planning, a vigorous campaigning organisation with a nationwide membership and an active programme of events, projects, research and publications.
|
|
circulation .
|
axis
is received by all members of ROOM as well as external
subscribers, and distributed at conferences, conventions and seminars and
other events run by ROOM and other organisations. It has a base
circulation of about 3500, rising to over 6000 for special issues. Since
most subscribers are organisations rather than individuals, and copies are
widely circulated within these organisations, the total readership can be up
to ten times the nominal circulation.

|
reach .

axis
reaches a unique cross-section of professionals, policy-makers,

utilities, consultancies, voluntary agencies and many others. A high
proportion of its readers are senior decision-makers, with commissioning and
spending authority.
